End-to-end testing

End-to-end testing across web, mobile, desktop and API in one flow.

End-to-end testing in ZeuZ follows one user journey across the browser, the mobile app, the desktop client, the APIs and the database, as one test case with one report. No separate framework per surface, no stitching results together afterwards.

In one paragraph

End-to-end testing checks a complete user journey through every system it touches, from the first click to the record it leaves behind, to confirm the software works the way a real user and a real data flow would exercise it. ZeuZ runs an end-to-end test as one case that crosses web, mobile, desktop, API and database steps, with evidence for every step on one record.

The problem

Where end-to-end testing breaks today.

Web, mobile, API and desktop tests live in different tools, so the journey that crosses them is the one nobody runs.

E2E suites are slow and flaky, so teams shrink them until they test nothing that matters, or run them so rarely the failure is a week old.

When an end-to-end test fails, the report says "failed" and the team spends the afternoon finding which system did it.

The six steps

How ZeuZ automates end-to-end testing.

  1. 01Test designProposes the journeys a change touches from the changed files and tickets, so E2E coverage follows risk rather than habit.
  2. 02Test case creationDescribe the journey in plain English; ZeuZ writes one case with reusable steps you already have for login, checkout or approval.
  3. 03Test automationBrowser, Appium, Windows, REST and database steps compile into one readable case, with variables bound once per environment.
  4. 04Test executionRuns on a schedule or a deployment webhook, in parallel across nodes, with session isolation for multi-user scenarios.
  5. 05Reporting and analysisEvery step returns its own status, error, screenshot and trace, so the failing system is named, not guessed.
  6. 06Test maintenanceUI changes on any surface come back as proposed repairs; the journey stays green without a rewrite.

Your team reviews what ZeuZ produced. Nothing joins the suite or runs without a person accepting it.

What is covered

End to end testing tools that cross every surface.

One ZeuZ test case can contain steps for a web application on Chrome, Firefox, Edge or Safari, a native or hybrid app on Android or iOS with an Android-iOS locator pair in the same step, a Windows or macOS desktop application, REST, SOAP or GraphQL calls with response values saved into variables for the next step, and assertions against PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB, SQL Server, SQLite or MongoDB.

Loops, conditions and optional or bypass steps handle the branches a real journey has; parallel sessions with isolation simulate several users at once. Environment values are bound once and overridden at run time, so the same journey runs on staging and production-like environments. Evidence for every step lands on one report, pinned to the commit, which is what makes end to end testing across surfaces reviewable in one place.
